NCMPA1 Renewable Energy Generation

NCMPA1 has entered into a purchased power agreement with Sun Star North Carolina, LLC to receive the entire output of a new solar energy facility in Shelby, NC.  The solar plant will produce 1 MW of power, and its estimated annual energy production is 1,600 MWh.  The output of this plant will be used to provide power to NCMPA1 Participants, as well as satisfying the requirement s of the North Carolina Renewable Energy Portfolio Standard (REPS).  The plant is currently under construction, and it is scheduled to come online in summer 2010.
